  1. Date from title page decorated with flourishes in ink which reads: His Royal Highness George Prince of Wales, November 20th, 1767
  2. George IV created Prince of Wales on Aug. 17th, five days after birth on Aug. 12, 1762
  3. Pages numbered 1-18 in pencil
  4. Copybook presents practice words for each letter of the alphabet except E-H and V, and sentences for each letter except G, I, O, Q, and U-Z
  5. Initial letter and sentence written in another hand as an example for copying
  6. The name "George" concludes each of the sentence pages beginning with "Knowledge..."
  7. Provenance statement in pencil inside front cover: from Dawson Turner's sale of MSS & autographs June 1859
